Rumor has it that apparently someone has been able to upload Sims 3 onto torrent sites 2 weeks before the game is set to actually release. In no way am I condoning this kind of activity as it is illegal, but I give this information to you simply for informational purposes only. What you do with this information is up to you. Perhaps you’ll want to stick it to EA yet again after their Spore incident. But if you want to be a good little boy or girl you can always wait patiently and preorder it for $50. For some reason I’ve always been a big fan of the Sims series, despite my complete lack of interest in most other casual games. $50 or not I’m sure this will be a great decision, and maybe after obtaining it in a shady manner you will want to fork over the $50 to make it legit. The Sims 3 is set for release on June 2, 2009.
Steam Weekend Deals
April 26, 2009
Okay so we have all heard of Steam before in our lives as gamers, at least I hope we have. If you haven’t it is an online distributor that you download to your computer. It is not just your run of the mill service though, it can launch games, set up multiplayer matches, and download games directly, many DRM free. I highly recommend it and you can download it here. Steam also has many deals, which is a big plus to any Thrifty Gamer. My favorite is their “Weekend Deals” where they will have games for incredibly low prices for the weekend. For example: this weekend they had Dawn of War II for 25% off and World Wide Soccer Manager 2009 for 50% off. These are both excellent steals and I recommend both games. So give Steam a try and watch for those special deals.
